In the 1970s, the USSR bought some of the press-forms of Louis Marx and Company and, at some of its factories, began manufacturing soldiers for these press-formss. In total, the Soviet side purchased seven sets of molds for sets of a scale of 54-60 mm: Indians, Cowboys, Vikings, Romans, Egyptians, Pirates, Knights and four for sets of 150 mm scale (6 "): Varangians [in the original - Vikings] , Neanderthals [Cavemen], Watchmen [Frontiersmen], Infantrymen [WW II. Russians]. Most of them are still produced, except the Egyptians, the press-form of which was lost in the late 1990's.
